DGSP RULES
The following rules apply to any guest at the DGSP Ranch. Refusal to follow any of these rules may result in a guest being asked to leave the property. If a guest is asked to leave the property, the respective security deposit will not be refunded.

Guests will comply with all state and federal laws while on the premises.

Any hunter will possess and present a valid hunting license issued by Texas Parks & Wildlife prior to being allowed to hunt.

Guests will practice the five basic rules of firearm safety at ALL times:

Treat every gun as loaded: Always assume a gun is loaded, even if you know it's not.

Point in a safe direction: Never point a gun at anything you don't intend to shoot.

Keep your finger off the trigger: Train yourself to keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot.

Be sure of your target: Know exactly what your shot will hit, and what's beyond it.

Unload when not in use: Unload your firearm when you're not using it, especially if it's in a home with children or people who aren't trained to handle firearms.

No guest will handle a firearm or weapon of any kind while intoxicated.

No shooting or target practice of any kind is allowed without a representative of DGSP Ranch present and actively supervising the activity.

There is no smoking or vaping allowed in the DGSP Lodge or any deer blind.

Smoking or vaping is permitted on any of the porches, cigarette or cigar butts must be doused, and disposed of in a trash can. Butts may not be thrown on the ground--no exceptions.

No guest will be permitted to start or manage a fire without a representative of DGSP Ranch aware of and supervising the flame.

Electric or gas space heaters are not permitted in the lodge.

No guest is permitted to explore or roam the pasture without a representative of DGSP Ranch present.

No guest is allowed to open or close any gate at the DGSP Ranch.

No guest will damage or vandalize any property at the DGSP Ranch.

All exterior doors and windows at the DGSP Lodge must be kept closed, unless otherwise permitted.

No guest will discard trash of any kind in the pasture--all trash must be collected and discarded in a trash can.

Brass casings may be left on the ground after target practice

Shotgun casings may NOT be discarded on the ground

No guest will flush anything besides waste and toilet paper down the toilets.

After a shot, if you wound an animal by drawing hair, blood, or bone, that counts as a harvest, irrespective of whether DGSP Ranch staff are able to locate your animal.

Unless pre-paid, payment for an animal is due upon confirmation that the animal was harvested. (See Rule 15).

If you mistakenly shoot a Buck with tag on its ear, you will be charged $8,000. This is not negotiable. Your guide will make sure to assist you in selecting which animal to harvest, but whoever pulls the trigger is ultimately responsible for what ever they harvest.

If you mistakenly shoot a Doe with a tag on its ear, you will be charged $5,000. This is not negotiable. (See Rule 17).

If you harvest a buck you are explicitly told NOT to harvest, you may keep the buck, but you will pay the full price of the buck, plus a $1000 unplanned harvest fee.

Guests will follow any Directions provided by DGSP Ranch Representatives.
